Bambiha is a very popular word in general. Whenever we hear the word Bambiha, we always remember the verses of Gurbani, in which the thirst for Bambiha is mentioned.
Meaning: Babiha prays at the time of Amrit, then her prayer is heard in the Dargah of the Lord.
Babiha commands the clouds from the Lord to shower (the Name) with mercy (on this petitioner).
Those human beings who have implanted the ever abiding Lord in their Hirda, I am a sacrifice to them.

Bambiha is a bird. It is found all over the world in different shapes and sizes. It is popular due to thirst and prayers to God. Nature has made its beak like other birds. Can't drink water by lowering its beak like Water can enter its union only if it moves its beak upwards, so it keeps expecting rain by raising its beak upwards.
Babiha is an insectivorous bird, it does not build its own nest and lays its eggs in the nests of other birds, it is like a dove. Her voice is very beautiful, her dialect is called "P Kahan", P Kahan means where is the husband, hence her name Papiha. He prays to God for rain in the morning. Some writers have written that the first drop of Bambiha rain which is called Swanti or Swati drop is very painful for that drop and when that drop is found it is very happy.
In Sanskrit its name is Chatrik, many have also written its name as Chatik or Chatik, which means to ask for water from the clouds.
This bird rarely lands on land and lives mostly on trees. It also drinks water collected in the leaves of large trees. That is why it is also called 'Chatak'. It is also called 'black papaya' because of its black and white color. In English it is called 'Pied Cuckoo' and 'Jacobian Cuckoo'. It is also called 'Pied Crested Cuckoo' in English as it has a beak-shaped body with small wings on its head. The technical name of this papiha is Clamator jacobinus serratus.
